Pre-Abortion Consultation
at No Cost to You

What Is a Pre-Abortion Consultation?
If you’re considering an abortion, our licensed healthcare professionals can provide the information you need to make an informed decision. Informed consent means understanding the nature of the procedure, the risks, benefits, alternatives, and having the time to ask questions. At Metro Women’s Care, we welcome all of your questions.
What Is Included
This information can save money and help determine the type or cost of an abortion.
-
Pregnancy testing to verify positive results - even if you have a positive home test, we can provide an additional medical-grade one at your appointment.
-
Health History Assessment, where your allergies, medications, and past medical history will be discussed.
-
Ultrasound Consultation with a registered nurse. An ultrasound determines if the pregnancy is located inside the uterus, how far along you are, and if the pregnancy is viable. A pregnancy that develops outside of the uterus is called an ectopic pregnancy and is potentially life-threatening for the pregnant woman.
-
STI Testing for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia to protect yourself from further complications or infections. This is particularly important prior to an abortion. If you have a positive STI test result, we can provide treatment at no cost to you.
-
Abortion education to learn about the abortion pill, clinic procedures, side effects, risks, what to expect, recovery, alternatives, and more.
