Pre-Abortion Consultation
at No Cost

What Is a Pre-Abortion Consultation?
If you’re considering an abortion, our licensed medical staff can provide the information you need to make an informed decision. Informed consent means understanding the risks, benefits, procedure, and alternatives, and having the chance to ask questions. This process typically begins with an ultrasound screening and nurse consultation.
Health and Safety Steps Before an Abortion
We provide these services at no cost to you so you can have all the information you need about your unique situation. This information can save money and help determine the type or cost of an abortion.
-
Pregnancy testing to verify positive results - even if you have a positive home test, we can provide an additional medical-grade one at your appointment.
-
Medical consultation to discuss your health history, Rh factor, medications, birth control (if you have an IUD, it may need to be removed), and reproductive health.
-
Ultrasound confirmation to determine how far along you are, if the pregnancy is viable, or potentially rule out a naturally occurring miscarriage. (If the pregnancy is ectopic, an abortion cannot be performed.)
-
STI testing to protect yourself from further complications or infections. (This is particularly important prior to an abortion.)
-
Abortion education to learn about the abortion pill, clinic procedures, side effects, risks, what to expect, recovery, alternatives, and more.
